Dr. Michael B. Lyons was born in New Orleans and attended Jesuit High School where he graduated with honors in 1974. He attended LSU undergraduate college in Baton Rouge and in 1977 received a combined curriculum degree in just 3 years. He received his M.D. degree at L.S.U. in New Orleans in 1981.

He completed his Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Residency at L.S.U. - New Orleans in 1986. During this period, he was allowed to perform a junior fellowship with The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Working under the tutelage of Dr. Jack Anderson and Dr. Gaylon McCollough stimulated him to pursue a career in cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Lyons has over 20 years of experience and is quadruple-board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Hyperbaric Medicine.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a published author who has written numerous book chapters, scientific studies and abstracts on cosmetic surgical procedures. Dr. Lyons is on staff at the local hospitals in the Mobile area.

He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at both LSUMC, New Orleans, Division of Facial Plastic Surgery and the University of South Alabama's Medical School.

What's more, he has been featured on local television segments of "Ask the Expert." Dr. Lyons' commitment to cutting-edge technology keeps him featured on local television and radio. Dr. Lyons is one of the first doctors on the Gulf Coast to offer Radiance to his patients.
