Stem Cell Therapy
Stem Cell Therapy has evolved into a branch of medicine known as Regenerative Medicine. This branch of medicine uses supplements, hormones, vitamins, and your own cells to repair and renew a variety of traumatic and developmental diseases.

The treatment he underwent was called "Intellicell" {tm}. The intellicell trademark is a branded treatment that includes ultrasound treatment to a person's own fat to select out what is known as the "SOUP", also known as the stromal vascular fraction. This "soup" is a diverse cell population that communicates with other cells in their local environment...encouraging them to rejuvenate, repair, and regenerate adjacent tissues. This technology has been used in aesthetic medicine for decades using fat transfers to the face to improve volume loss due to atrophy and improve wrinkles. Orthopedic surgeons have been using this treatment to help heal fractures, traumatic ligamentous and tendon injuries, as well as degenerative joint diseases. Having used bone marrow aspirate in the past they are very excited over the prospect of having more accesible volume of cells along with a higher concentration of cells per teaspoon of fluid {50 thousand cells per 5 ml vs 150 million cells per 5 ml}.
The FDA 361 ruliing allows for the treatment of one's own cells that have been minimally manipulated, as long as they are reinjected within 24 hours of the harvesting. This is off label use of your own tissue for the purpose of improving both traumatic and developmental diseases. So many of today's treatments are off label, such as BOTOX® Cosmetic to lift the eyebrows, which is an indirect effect on the brow due to weakening of the perioccular muscles while retaining movement in the lower forehead muscles.
